1958 Goggomobil TL-250

Alright alright, it’s another microbus. But these are awesome! Can you imagine driving around town with this?!

This one is coming up for auction at RM Sotheby’s, and although they don’t provide a ton of information about this specific vehicle, there is some information generally about the Goggomobile.

The Goggomobile TL-250

The Goggomobile TL-250 was the transporter, and approximately 3,667 were produced. They were produced in the Bavarian town of Dingolfing between 1955-1959 by Hans Glas.

The Transporter van was primarily built for the German Federal Postal Service. The acquired 2,000 Transporters between October 1957 and November 1965.

The Transporter’s featured sliding front doors and were available either in a panel van like the Dubble Bubble featured here, or as a pickup truck. The pickup trucks were also frequently used by German cities and towns.

Production Numbers of Goggomobile

A total 3,667 Transporter vans and pickups were produced.
